ABOUT ME
Sam Reeves HILL | Memphis, Tennessee
Sam Reeves Hill is a mixed-media artist from Somerville, Tennessee, whose rural, Southern roots surface through the color, texture, and emotional grit of her work. Raised on books, nature, and an unruly imagination, she creates layered pieces that move between the intimate and the universal to examine shared memory, dreams, and human connection.
Working with bold color, collage, heavy texture, and recurring patterns, she builds layered, visual worlds that invite viewers to pause, look closer, and consider the visual conversation unfolding within each piece.
Now based in Memphis, Hill is a member of the Ugly Art Collective and holds a BFA from Christian Brothers University (2017). She has presented three solo exhibitions and has participated in group shows with the Rowdy Department, Ugly Art Gallery, Memphis Art Salon, and the Memphis Zoo’s Brush With the Wild project.
